When installing the Linksys range extender, I can't find my 5 GHz network

You have selected a Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) channel on your wireless router. You then make the decision to use a Linksys range extender to extend the network. Please follow the steps below to address this issue: Step 1: Verify your router's DFS certification. NOTICE: DFS is not supported by all dual-band routers. Verizon FIOS G1100, Linksys EA9500 (EMEA versions), Apple AirPort Extreme®, WNDR3700v4, WNDR4300, and other dual-band routers are examples of devices that enable DFS. Step 2: Log in to the router's page if it has DFS certification. Click here to find out how to get to the page for the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router. Step 3: Click Wireless in the Router Settings section. Step 4: To determine whether the Wireless Channel is set to Auto or a DFS channel, locate the 5 GHz network section.
